LINDSAY HADLEY
LINDSAY HADLEY | A CONVERSATION ON COURAGE, RESILIENCE, AND FINDING PURPOSE
What do Leonardo DiCaprio, The Simpsons, and Coachella have in common?
The answer is Lindsay Hadley.
If you don’t know Lindsay, she is an absolute force for nature.
I’ve known her for over 20 years, and have never ceased to be amazed and her tenacity and ability to act quickly to achieve her goals.
Lindsay decided at a young age that she wanted to make a difference in the world, and later in life would start a nonprofit and begin to put together benefit concerts for charity.
These concerts were wildly successful and raised millions for those in need. She then decided to try putting on a music festival for charity at Thanksgiving Point, using the same tactics and strategies that worked for the concerts.
Unfortunately, they only sold 5,000 tickets instead of the 8,000 they needed to break even, and the project ended up losing $100,000.
Lindsay was understandably embarrassed and distraught and was in her home feeling overwhelmed when she felt prompted by God to “Pick yourself up, and make it right. It’s not about you.”
Determined not to let her embarrassment stop her, Lindsay began looking for a mentor in the music festival industry. Through a cold email, she got in contact with Bill Fold, the director of Coachella, who agreed to coach her.
Eventually, Lindsay transitioned into the moviemaking scene and now works with production companies and famous actors around the world (including DiCaprio) to put out movies that make an impact and inspire change, similar to popular films like The Chosen or Sound of Freedom.
You can check out one of her recent projects on Amazon Prime, and a documentary called “Uncharitable”. It will totally change the way you view philanthropy.
