P 2: ABUNDANCE VS. SCARCITY | SHIFTING YOUR MINDSET FOR LIFELONG GROWTH AND FULFILLMENT
3 practices that get me into an abundance mentality mindset:
1 - Tipping generously
Instead of choosing the smallest tip amount, I’ll often give people a little extra. This helps me remember that everyone is just doing the best they can in a given situation and that they all matter.
2 - Gratitude lists
When I focus on something wrong, I start to loop it in my mind and feel more negative. Reminding myself of all my blessings allows me to break out of that loop and come back to a place of abundance. The act of writing things down you’re grateful for really helps bring them to the front of your mind.
3 - Give service
This can mean a lot of different things, such as helping out a friend, donating money, doing your church calling, or putting your kids to bed. Constantly finding ways to give.
I’ve often found that the more I can tune into abundance, the happier my life is, which allows me to serve and give to others to a greater degree, which brings more happiness. A positive feedback loop.
